Unpopular opinion: endless love & light = toxic positivity

In my last email, I told you that life had overwhelmed me to the point that I almost believed I might never write another email. Everything seemed like too much!

But the reason we lightworkers are here - authenticity and ascension - are mission critical. It’s all hands on deck, and I believe we’re meant to be here for each other, not just role models for those who haven’t yet awakened and are watching the false matrix crumble in front of them.

So here I am, one lightworker, here for another.

But because one of our missions is authenticity, I have to talk about the way the false matrix infiltrated spirituality and made us believe that fake it ‘til you make it was a valid spiritual approach.

I love unicorns as much as the next lightworker. And it would be wonderful if I could step effortlessly into being my higher self.

And what if it were possible to exude boundless love and light? Endlessly positive?

It sounds good, but that wouldn’t be real. In fact, it’s toxic!

I understand the appeal, though. Because we’ve been programmed to believe that imperfection is shameful, and negative or painful feelings are not just inconvenient, but also embarrassing.

And it’s all a lie. We didn’t come here to be perfect. We came here to remember who we are, connect to our light and be wayshowers for those who haven’t yet remembered.

But what those others need to see is someone who is real. Acknowledging your feelings, accepting where you are on your journey and offering kindness to yourselves and others who are still finding their way.

Stop for a moment right now, and take inventory.

Is there any tension in your body? Where do you feel it? Can you breathe into it and see if it softens?

What are you feeling? What are the thoughts swirling around in your head right now? Pretend they are clouds and give them a shape and a color.

Now ask yourself, “what do my love and acceptance feel like?” and when you identify them, breathe them in, letting them mix and mingle with your thoughts and feelings and bodily sensations.

Resolve to be more tender with yourself, but prepare to be patient with how challenging it might be to unlearn the habit of blaming and shaming.

Finding your way on the path to authenticity, self-love and self-acceptance may not be easy, but it will be worth it. It’s part of your purpose.

It’s time to let go of pretending. But that’s okay because you are deeply loved by your higher self and by the divine.

I’ll be writing more about the lightworker path, and some of the ways we may have been led away from ourselves in the name of spirituality.

See you next time!
